These are more expensive than standard pumps, but on some occasions are the only option.
If there is insufficient flow at the targeted outlets without the pump (as a guide, less than 1 litre per minute) then a Universal pump must be fitted.
These pumps will normally be sited at the base of the hot water cylinder.

A common mistake found is the installation of a standard pump when the configuration of the CWSC, pipework & outlets demands that a Universal pump be installed.
